Vince Staples drops off his self-titled album, which is his first full-length joint to be released in three years. The 10-track LP offers a look into the rapper's life growing up in Long Beach, Calif., but also his satirical psyche, which helps him wade through every day's highs and lows. The album's lead single, "Law of Averages," arrived weeks before the full album on June 17. And although there aren't any guest appearances on the project, it's produced by Kenny Beats. Storytelling-rhymer IDK releases his latest album, USEE4YOURSELF, as well. The effort comes fully loaded with 17 joints including previously released songs, "Peloton," "Shoot My Shot" with Offset and "PradadaBang" featuring Young Thug.

He also dropped "Red" with a posthumous bridge and hook from MF Doom. Jay Electronica and Westside Gunn are also on the track. Prior to this new album, the PG County, Md. rapper released his 2020 project, IDK & Friends 2, which contains appearances from fellow Maryland natives Wale and Rico Nasty, as well as PnB Rock, A$AP Ferg, Juicy J and much more. Early Thursday morning , IDK tweeted, "No matter what, this new album will bring me to the next chapter of my career and as long as I'm blessed to be breathing, I can continue to reach levels," about what to expect onUSEE4YOURSELF.

The project has a considerate run time, wrapping up 14 tracks in 40 minutes, with 2 of those tracks being skits. As far as rapping goes, Styles gets straight to business, wasting no bars on filler, which is impressive for a rapper who delivers bars off of the dome and in one take. Boasting thirteen studio albums, four collaborative albums, a prolific mixtape catalog, and several LOX releases, it's easy to comfortably name Styles P among the game's most consistent emcees.

Now, he's about ready to build on his discography with yet another release, confirming that his new albumGhostingis set to arrive this coming Friday, July 9th. Each time I watch u rap at d jenny from the block track,I always see a core rapper. "Ghosting" happens to be Styles P's 14th studio album. 'Some Niggas' is great piece of music you will want to add to your Playlist and play endlessly. Responsible for thirteen studio albums, four joint albums, an unmatched mixtape catalog, and several LOX releases, it's safe to say the consistency of Styles P established himself as one of the more dominant lyricists in hip-hop.

Even though the album has its flaws, Ghosting should definitely be on every hip-hop head's listening list this year. Styles fills a missing gap in hip-hop, being one of the only OGs thats still consistently putting out records every year. While some are better than others, Styles will always provide listeners an enjoyable experience with life-changing gems delivered through gritty bars and punchlines. While the ambience of the album is crafted fairly well, certain tracks get dragged along and lost throughout the hazy ride. Some tracks fall victim to a lackluster chorus or just lack of standout moments.

While it is a very introspective piece, "Only Spenders" hook does get repetitive after a while and it's sonically distorted nature is almost like a small roadblock on a smooth path that is the track list. "Stop the Rain" is another record with a strange chorus, almost coming off as off-rhythm. This doesn't hold back Styles lyricism though, as every verse is still sharp as ever.

Ghosting is still a pretty good project despite these minor setbacks, but as far as a full body of work, there's no doubt that Styles has better joints in his catalog. As far as solo performance, Styles stays on his toes, delivering nothing less of sharp verses and witty punchlines. The great thing about a rapper like Styles is the diverse range of subject matter. Ghost could either provide the grimy gutter shit or a reflective piece on current events in the world.
